eSun ABS+ Review

I’ve researched the web for tips on ABS printing and I noticed people mentioning great experience with eSun ABS+. Even though I found very few places which were delivering it to my region and it was quite pricey, I decided to pick some up and compare it to more locally available ABS+ filaments.

TL;DR; eSun ABS+ is probably the easiest ABS like filament to print.

The adhesion with this filament is superb. At 100C bed temperature it sticks to the bed even in a non enclosed printer. It even sticks to a plain mirror surface without any adhesion promoter (like a glue stick). I also didn’t get any issues printing large surface objects: the warping was so little or the adhesion was so good that corners couldn’t detach from the bed. I haven’t seen such a good adhesion in any other ABS-like filament.

The surface of the prints comes out matte as opposed to more common glossy finish. Matte finish has an advantage: it hides printing imperfections like ringing a lot better. However, it’s going to be a matter of preference wether you like it or not.

I got eSun ABS+ from their official store and liked it a lot. It could easily be my daily filament but the cost with the shipping makes it unfeasible for me. I suggest you to try it and if you have local suppliers carrying it then you’re in luck!
